I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Supervisor Status (LCSW-S) through the TXBHEC and Colorado DORA, providing trauma-focused, culturally responsive therapy for adult seeking insight, meaningful change, and relief from emotional distress and past trauma. My background as both a medical social worker and mental health clinician in inpatient and outpatient settings has allowed me to work with individuals facing complex medical, emotional, and relational challenges. These experiences strengthened my belief in resilience, courage, and innate potential within every person.

Raised in a culture that encouraged emotional suppression, I understand firsthand the struggle of finding your authentic voice and honoring your feelings. This lived experience drives my commitment to creating a safe, validating therapy space where emotions are welcomed, stories are honored, and healing becomes possible.

My goal is to guide you in understanding and overcoming both deeply rooted issues and the everyday challenges of life. I specialize in supporting clients with trauma recovery, burnout and compassion fatigue, infertility and reproductive challenges, life coaching, transitions, identity exploration, anxiety, depression, and diagnostic evaluation to gain understanding and proper care. As a therapist, I am committed to serving the BIPOC communities and strive to offer inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive therapy that acknowledge the impact of culture, identity, systemic stressor, and lived experiences on mental health. Together, we will work to heal the lingering effects of past trauma, recover from burnout and chronic stress, build emotional resilience and self-compassion, improve relationships and communication, and strengthen your sense of identity and authentic voice. My approach is based on trauma-informed, client-centered, inclusiveness, and grounded in evidence-based practices, I work with you to recognize unproductive patterns, shift your narrative, reconnect with your strengths, and enhance your overall well-being.

Clients often leave sessions with a deeper understanding of themselves, renewed confidence, and practical tools to reduce emotional distress, manage stress, reshape unhelpful thought patterns, and take empowered steps toward their personal and professional goals.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide trauma-informed, person-centered therapy to every therapeutic relationship. I believe that healing begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and respected and my goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can show up authentically--without judgement. Grounded in the core principles of trauma care—safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural humility—I support with individuals who are navigating the lasting effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relational challenges, substance use, burn-out, and other stressed-related issues. I recognize that distress shows up differently for everyone, and my role is not to pathologize your experience, but to honor it and help you understand it. As a trauma therapist, I focus on your inner strengths and resilience while helping you develop new coping skills, improve self-awareness, and build healthier relationships. Together, we will create a therapeutic foundation based on trust, accountability, and honesty so you feel empowered to express what has felt unsayable in a safe, supportive.

I understand how both major and everyday experiences can leave lasting imprints on the mind and body. As your therapist, I will follow your lead and collaborate with you to create new beginnings, improve relationships, develop self-awareness, find your inner voice, and make meaningful changes. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you, with an emphasis on safety, trust, and collaboration. If you’re seeking compassionate, grounded support on your healing journey--through trauma-informed therapy, depression/anxiety therapy, or relationship therapy--I would be honored to walk alongside you. I offer a nonjudgmental, culturally responsive, and affirming therapy space where you don’t have to explain or justify your pain.

Have you ever felt alone, overwhelmed, or like nothing seems to be going right? Or maybe you’ve felt that no one can understand the pain that you’re in? Like you need someone to help you make sense of what you’ve gone through? Most of us have been there too. Life is challenging at the best of times, and we often benefit from an outside perspective, someone who might notice things that are difficult to see from where we stand. Choosing to reach out for help can feel daunting, especially when we have so many other things piling up.

My name is Ashlee, and I’m glad you’re here. I’m an Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally responsive, person-centered care for adults navigating the challenges life throws at us. Whether that’s depression, anxiety, discovering your own identity, grief and loss, or navigating the challenges faced by older adults, my aim is to meet you where you are and walk with you on your journey to the person you want to be. Together we’ll work on building skills, increasing insight, and making meaningful changes in a non-judgmental space you can feel comfortable sharing in. My approach incorporates evidence-based practices in an individualized way to help therapy work for you, not the other way around. I believe therapy works best when you feel seen, respected, and empowered to make your own informed decisions.

If you’re feeling ready to take that first step towards the person you want to be, I’m happy to take that step with you and provide compassionate, affirming care along your journey.

Starting therapy is a brave and meaningful step — especially when you come from a background where mental health wasn’t openly acknowledged or discussed. I understand the courage it can take to reach out for support, and I’m here to create a space where you feel seen, heard, safe, and respected. A space that honors your story, culture, identity, values, and all the experiences that have shaped who you are.

I work with children age 10 and up, adolescents, and adults, supporting clients through a wide range of challenges and life experiences. This may include anxiety, stress, emotional challenges, life transitions, trauma, relationship difficulties, parenting and family concerns, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life. For children and teens, therapy can provide a safe place to express emotions, build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, navigate relationships, and better understand themselves. For adults, therapy can offer an opportunity to slow down, process what you’ve been carrying, break unhelpful patterns, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change.

I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves, building emotional awareness, developing coping skills, and learning that their feelings matter. My approach is warm, collaborative, and holistic. I integrate evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Informed Care, while tailoring each session to your unique needs, values, and goals. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I work alongside you to find an approach that feels authentic, supportive, and meaningful.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Reaching out for support is not a sign of weakness. It’s a meaningful investment in yourself, and you don’t have to figure it all out alone. You simply have to be willing to take the first step. I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
